no place like home

two summers ago. or is it last summer? summer '08 anyways, I went to Ireland. My first time there, visited all of my fathers relatives. I Loved it. It was more of the loving a place because you were on vacation and you were away from work/life/ responsibilities and all that crap. But I truly loved it.

Walking down the streets of Dublin and dunleary, Aran Islands, All of them. It all just seemed like I was home. Which I dont think I ever felt. Not the feeling of coming home. Not like you are returning home after a trip of a vacation. Where you just sit on your couch or bed or wherever and exhale. This since of accomplishment, after the whole experience.

Nothing like that. This was much deeper.

Last time I went, I was the on the end of a rocky relationship. Now, I am single, and will be returning for a wedding.
I so, didn't really want to come back last time. Could of stayed there longer. Aside from the obvious: Family, friends, school. there wasn't much to come back too... Now there is less. ...

Well still have family and friends, If i decide to not go for my bachelors degree, I will be finishing up school.
All my friends have their own lives, families and responsibilities.

Guess we will see if the Emerald Isle will still hold any luster polish and shine for my second trip over...

and it was going oh so good

My iphone broke again. And I was having such a nice day...
I dont know what happened to it, went to work, had it in my car, it was working fine. In the twenty minutes or so it was in my pocket, the screen cracked and the button sensor is broken. I can't unlock it. This is the second phone to have this problem. the sensor, not the crack.
Hopefully, my warranty is still good.
I am currently looking into the Droids. what to do what to do!? Verizon or ATT? I think my contract is up in february.
The droids look nice. I heard Verizon is better service that AT&T. But, damn I love my iphone... hopefully Apple will replace it... at least until february...

and too day was a good day. Though I dont know why I slept until 1230. but still thats neither here nor there...

Great nothings.

My scripts aren't appearing on here, in the format they should.
So much for a simple copy n paste. oh well.

Well I have a 6 pg story done. Hopefully I will be inspired enough to flesh it out, with what I already want to do. Well to do it intime for the end of BLUECAT, I mean.
Motivation, if it was so easy to come by. . .

And we are but cogs in the machine

America is the great machine.
Rolling forward, to no final destination
The American Populace is the gas, the grease
The hamster on the wheel
Urged to Propel it further
Further along its path of intent.

So great the machine
it corrupts, poisons,
improves and enhances
all it comes into contact with.

and we remain cogs
Hamsters on the wheel
Always after the carrot

Tunnel Vision on the carrot
to the detriment of the world around.

For the cogs are not concerned
with the machine beyond
the cogs singular role

Videogames

Yesterday was payday. Man I love paydays it means A) I get money and B) I have that weekend off from work. Which I suppose is why I am pretty much broke by the end of that weekend. Maybe, If I worked weekends I got paid, I would have money longer? . Yeah right, 90% of my shopping is on Amazon, and what better place to waste time and buy stuff is at work.
Anyways, I picked up my CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2 ELITE 360 EDITION yesterday. I originally had a launch 360. still works and no RROD. But the HDD was only 20gb, and the OS takes up over 7gb. So been meaning to upgrade, just looking for the perfect deal. Now, I'm not a FPS Fan. Aside form Fallout3, Bioshock and FEAR I really couldnt care less. I have played them FPS'. But I prefer a good story. Resistance is okay. BUT, I am finding with less and less time to do everything. FPS are perfect for quick games. The game is pretty fun, intense good graphics, but from what I heard, Its a quick play, And Im not big in multiplayer games. Oh well...

I am loving the console. Really, what am I gonna do with 200gb of free space? The console looks nice, better than the White, plus it comes with HDMI. 1080p gaming.

I also picked up Dragon's Age: Origins for the 360. Graphically, its not Uncharted 2. But there is a sense of realism to the world. Its not all shiny. Dirty and Gritty. Bioware always has good stories ever since the Original group started at Black Isle with Baldurs Gate, But with that said, There is nothing new under the sun. If you read alot of fantasy, or play alot of RPG's. The story wont blow you away. Its Above average for sure. For gaming its quite good. But its the depth of the world and the deep Character creation and choices. From your characters background to the options in dialogue.

I also picked up FEAR 2 for the 360, I really enjoyed the first one. liked I originally said, not a lover of FPS, but the atmosphere and story great. I rank FEAR just under Silent hill series and above Resident Evil...

So, I am finally starting to learn how to cook. Made Mexican Minestrone last night.
It turned out pretty good. Guess I should learn how to make other stuff.
Probably try to make a casserole from a recipe I got tomorrow. so far 3 for 3. No ones gotten sick, and girls haven't stopped talking to me. But there is always next time.
